    Hi all,
please advise on the firmware version that I can expect if the box says

    psp10004
    220-240v
    ws259 H

Is this a likely to be the right one or is there still a chance its wrong version/motherboard. I've read the advise on other boards but I still don't trust myself

Motherboards dont matter now, its all about firmware 2.80 and below.

Just FYI my TA-082 2.71 PSP's box is:

    PSP-1003 CW
    220-240v
    SS529 K

I would have thought 1004 is newer, therefore bad. But i might be wrong.

It's usually hard to tell from just the box, for most items.

    Chears guys,

Vini, I thought the psp-1004 refers to the region code

    Stimpey
the 2.5/2.6 downgrader uses an unpatched GTA whats the likelyhood of finding that. How common is this version. Is there not an alternative method without any special CD's

    Cheers buddy,
1 more question. I have a 256 pro duo is this large enough to carry out the upgrade/downgrade process
