Something that's been bugging me ages, which I'm sure has a really simple explanation, so please be gentle :)

I have my PSM192 connected to my HD2 DLP with both analogue component cables, and a DVI cable. When I view a NTSC source through either input, the projector says both signals are 525P.

When I view a PAL source via DVI, it says the signal is 625P, but the via component it says it's 800x600x50-R. I assume that these are different ways of describing the same thing?

No they are not. Something is weird here. 720X625 (576) is de-interlaced PAL. It's either the timings are incorrect or are incorrectly recognised and reported by the Runco.
