I watched Raid on Entebbe the other day. It is a excellent film.

There was a song, sung by the Israeli soldiers on their way to Entebbe and at the end of the movie, which took my interest. A bit of research showed that it was a setting of Psalm 133.

The words in English are as follows:

1 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!

2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard,
down upon the collar of his robes.

3 It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.

It sounds far more passionate and engaging in Hebrew and sung in the appropriate idiom.

Is this a well known song commonly sung in the Jewish community. Can anyone link to version?

    Hi Xusia,

    Thanks to Wikipedia, which says:

Israeli actor Yehoram Gaon who played Colonel Netanyahu sings the theme song "Eretz Hatzvi", which translates as "Land Of Deer".

I haven't yet been able to locate any more info, but it looks like it's a famous piece and possibly well-known amongst Israeli and/or Jewish people of the older generations/communities.
