Hi All,

I’ve been try to fix this issue for a while and I’m stumped. Here is the gear I have:

TV - Samsung QE65Q6F
PS5 console
AV Receiver - SONY STRDH790

I’ve got the PS5 console hooked directly up to the TV and the TV ouputting to the AV receiver via hdmi on Anynet+. If I’m streaming through the PS5 I can get 5.1 no problem. I’m still getting the issue on some Blu Ray discs that it goes down to PCM.

I’ve selected Bitstream on the … menu when playing a Blu Ray on the PS5 but that doesn’t work for all discs.

How can I fix this please? I don’t know if I should connect the PS5 directly to the AV receiver then the TV?

Your TV likely will passthrough 5.1 Dolby Digital but it may not pass though other formats such as Dolby Atmos or DTS. I don't know for sure what your model does/does not do but most Samsung specs I have seen they only seem to support Dolby Digital passthrough.

So, are all the Blu-Ray audio streams you are testing with Dolby Digital 5.1?
