PS5 error - help needed!

Hey. I’ve been playing Valhalla on PS5 using the disc edition. Went to play it tonight and error CE-107891-6 came up.

It was trying to download an update before I played it but I’d run out of memory. Cleared some space for the download to happen but it could not complete.

Cancelled the download and trying to play the game without update and still got the same error.

Any idea what I can do to avoid losing my progress?

PS5 newbie here so advice wow gratefully received.

hi it looks like the failed update may have corrupted the game data, looking around online at those that have had this error only way to fix was to delete the game and reinstall it making sure there is enough space for the update and letting that install before trying to play.

you shouldn't loose progress saves are stored in a different location to the game as well as in the cloud if you have PS+

I don’t suppose I can save my progress retrospectively in PS+? I don’t have it but can get it…

You may be able to export your save game progress to a removable USB device.
