i just bought a PS4PRO, im not a hardcore gamer, but had fun at my mates the other night and thought id go and get one after drunkenly messing around with the VR headset!
i excitedly hooked it up to the front AUX1 input when it landed and after a little fun and games got it working in full 4k and HDR goodness on my E8 LG OLED...it looks great i thought, better put it in the AV unit and hook it all up proper like...
I stupidly "hot swapped" an HDMI, but didn't see any sparks or anything, but when i powered everything back up, i didn't get any sound or video on the game input. I figured i maybe blew the HDMI board on the PS4, so unhooked it all and plumbed it into another telly...all good, so thought, oh no, its the receiver... i put it all back in the unit and plugged it into the Blue Ray input...same story.
However, plugging it into the front HDMI again...fine!
I then plugged another source into the game input...again ...fine.
Why wont my PS4 work in the rear ports?

Get some better high-speed hdmi cables for a start.
Completely unplug PSVR and test without

Then try setting the following up so you can change the video settings of your PS4.:

Setup a new user on your PS4.
Download and install Remote play on a PC.
Turn on the PS4 and login as normal (main account)
Then use the second account to login to Remote Play.

You should now be able to see what your PS4 is doing on your PC monitor while you play around with the video output settings on the PS4. Start by limiting to 1080p output and see if it refreshes on your OLED.
