PS4 to PS5 Transfer on different accounts

Hi,

Looking for some help with transferring games and saved data from my old PS4 to my sons new PS5.

We have bought my son a PS5 for Xmas and his own PSN account. Up until then he was using my PSN account on his profile on the PS4 to play the likes of FIFA22 and Spider-Man.

I cannot seem to transfer any saved data for FIFA or Spider-Man to his PS5 since installing both games.

Is this not possible?

Does he need to have the same profile set up on both consoles or is it linked to the PSN account? He had to create a new account on the PS5.

Save games are linked to PSN account, so if he was using your account on PS4, those saves will not be available to his new account..
