The PS3 web browser is to view any webpage. I was quite impressed. More so when I found YouTube worked on it. The videos play. I expected that'd come on and videos wouldn't play, but they did. Checking emails, for instance Gmail, also works fine. You can set the home page to anything you like, and you can set bookmarks for anything you like. Flash etc aren't supported, so web pages using these features don't display properly, but most do. It's pretty cool having this on your TV. A draw back is that it seems slower than browsing on a PC. At least for me. Probably normal. I only had a few days with my PS3 so this is about as much as I can tell you

You can have multiple web pages open at once, go back to the PS3 interface to browse photos or whatever, whilst leaving the browser on a page etc..

The Playstation store is seperate altogether.
