I feel like I should know the answer to this, but here we go:

If I'm only watching 1080p Blu-rays, am I missing out PQ wise if I use my PS3 as my player outputting at 1080p to my LG B7 or should I have a UHD or 4k upscaling player? I feel like the answer is that the TV will upscale if it receives the 1080p feed and do nothing but display if it receives the 4k feed.

Agree with you the TV will upscale and that often is the best quality.
