It is only usefull for playstation plus members as it increases their cloud storage to 1gb instead off 150mb.

Good news, Im sick of getting the message that not all games saves could be uploaded due to lack of storage space.

Nice I joined PS+ last week the 25% off deal was to to good to miss, didn't upload saves to the cloud storage as i was waiting for the space update as i have a fair few saves that would have been to much for the 150MB space they had before.

Would be nice if Sony gave those not on PS+ the older 150MB save limit so they to have some cloud to save to but I doubt they would do that.

I can finally save SSX to the cloud. That 100mb ghost run data really kicked the 150mb limit in the teeth, & it isn't like you could select only the save file unless you copied it to cloud manually every time. A gig is definitely a more useable amount.

Problem with closed eco-systems is you pay for things which are free on your computer and on the interweb. There are numerous online cloud storage services that offer GB's of space for free. Still good for Sony increasing the storage space but just saying

I agree in principle & think some cloud storage should be available to all PSN customers for free, & extra storage for PS+ customers. For me PS+ is more than worth the money in freebies alone. The auto update/sync/patch/cloud thing are just bonuses. It's not even like cloud saving is something I actively use, it's just sits there in the background...just in case.

Compared to the open nature of PC's & the general internet, a games console is going to be more restrictive & things you might take for granted on your computer may end up costing you a few quid, but PS+ is a much better value option (in my humble opinion) than some of it's competitors options & it's purely optional, & you can easily get by without it whatever your use of the console.

I gather this is the only change in this firmware udpate. I wish they'd update it so that the power save options for the controller didn't affect BBC Iplayer or 4OD. I'm fed up of having to hit the PS button on the controller every ten minutes when the screen dims.

I bet when the ps4 comes out, everyone will get some free online storage and Plus members will just get more
