so it seems everywhere is jumping on the WHsmith bandwagon and dropping the system price to 399 , just two weeks after release .
whats the deal for those of us who payed 425 at stores now selling it for 399 ?
are we entitled to any sort of money back?
could help towards the cost of a game or bluray .

bit ticked off to see the price drop just days after purchase , every penny counts !

You win some, you lose some. The wii and 360 were all short and you were lucky to get one at release.

You will get a free copy of casino royale of you signed up for PS3 online which is worth around £25 new so I don't think anyone is entitled to any sort of refund. It would be nice to get a free controller or something though.

yea , I was caught short with the original xbox purchased on launch day with 3 games and extra controller ... few weeks later £100 cheaper.

Like they say you win some you loose sum ;/

The price drop didn't come from Sony but from specific retailers, I don't see why Sony has to compensate anyone???

Blockbuster are doing it at 399 or 454 inc game and Blu-ray film plus HDMI cable. Thats Clapham Junction Branch. They don't sell/rent HD-DVD of course.

Interestingly their software purchase prices were not bad. Hong Kong Hustle was less that £13

You bought it at that price so you could get it first, so what is not fair about it?

would it be fair to say that these people just can't shift stock at £424?

It's a hell of a lot of cash (not for what you get maybe) but as a games machine for many without rich parents its too costly.
