PS3 + Pio 427XD at 1080p/24

Question :
I know the pio cannot take 1080p at 50/60hz and hence when selecting HDMI output at 1080p, the screen is obviously blank

However I know the Pio can take 1080p/24 but is this something that PS3 supports? Not sure any movies are already out on that format but just like to know for future reference

And if it supports it, how would I select it given that that standard 1080p screens are all coming back blank so can't get in the XMB at that resolution :suicide:

Cheers

All BD films are in 1080p/24fps but currently the PS3 cannot output this, only 50/60. This may change with a software update, soon hopefully.

Currently, the PS3 cannot output 1080p @ 24fps but....perhaps the next PS3 update will allow this and hopefully 1080i/50Hz too :lease: .

BTW, all BD & HD-DVD movies are encoded at 1080p24fps. It's the PS3/player which changes the output to your screen.
