PS3 & Linksys Wag200g

I have my PS3 wired directly to this router via ethernet. It pics up the internet and firmware excellently.

the only thing i haven't tried is connecting the PS3 to my laptop via this router. My laptop is mostly used wirelessly but i can connect it direct to the router if i want as it is close. I will connect this way for downloading.

my question is will the PS3 pick up the laptop automatically when it is on or is there some tweaks i have to make within the router or laptop?

This might sound like a silly question, why would you want to connect it via your laptop when you can connect wirelessly/wired to the router from the PS3?

what i have said is confusing.

i wanted to get my ps3 to recognise the laptop as a media server. i have done it now though. just needed to update the wmp 11.

Ahhh, gotcha. Good I'm glad you got it sorted! My PS3 reconizes 3 media servers, 2 of them are from the same pc! (2 different users have 2 media libraries...bizarre, Billy G is at it again)
