I watched a bluray last night and I noticed that on some dark scenes there was faint horizontal lines, like a banding. My initial thought was interference of some sort but I have not seen it before.

    Anybody else seen this before?

No flat panel on the market that I have seen can do gradations on par with a CRT yet (including the latest Pioneers, which are the best I've seen so far) so this is to be expected.

If it's HDMI it's not interference, it's not elecrically possible to have such an effect.
