ps3 HDMI connection

Just bought HDMI cable for connection from ps3 console to new LCD HD TV.
TV says 'HDMI no signal' - do I have to do anything on PS3 to make TV receive? or do I have faulty cable or faulty TV? Cable and TV have just been bought new.

i think u need to hold down the power button until it bleeps to reset it

I had the same problem 2 days ago, and it is to do with your PS3.

Reset the PS3, and an automatic message will pop up asking whether you would like the cable to connect, press yes and the settings will be automatically set up and you're ready to go.

If you find that the resolution isn't being used to it's best, then re-visit the settings on the home page of the PS3 and you will be given the option of changing the resolution.

Mine wouldn't pick up the HDMI cable, I had to connect the low-def cable (red / white / yellow) so I could see the output, then go in to the video settings on the PS3 and select HDMI
