I noticed that my PS3 wasn't upscaling standard DVD's. So I went into the menu and it had upscaling as turned off, which I guess is the issue. I've gone into this menu and it's given several option choices. Double scale Normal Full screen Which one should I choose, and are there any other settings that I should alter for the best viewing and audio results? Just for info I'm playing discs via HDMI to a Denon AV-R 1909 amp and then via another HDMI to the TV which is a new 46" 1080p Panasonic plasma. Many thanks in advance.
I have mine set to normal but it depends on the screen and the results you like the look of. Double Scales i wouldn't recommend as i think that zooms in heavily and looks bad
