Just checking that it does via optical. I heard someone say it has no 5.1 out for Blu ray???
lol it does. and a very good 5.1 output too.
i use my denon 5.1 via optical and its superb
espically helps on FOM when listening to which direction people are walking up to you from
The PS3 supports DOlby Digital 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1, DTS via optical and PCM 5.1 uncompressed, Dolby True HD Via HDMI.
I have been very impressed with the 5.1 output from blu-ray- it seems far louder and more powerful than my 360 HD DVD drive!
I was very supprised to find that its also a SACD player! but you can only listen to it by HDMI which my amp doesn't have
the sacd playback is amazing, never heard sacd before, makes standard cds and mp3s sound well muddy. well worth investing in a sacd if you have your pc connected to a 5.1 setup through hdmi.
