Hi all....
I bought my brother a PS3 (American version - he lives in the States) for Christmas, and I need some advice for helping him to set it up so i can kick his ass on COD4!
Although he has a HDTV, it only has a DVI connection on the back, and no Toslink.
So how does he connect his ps3? Am i right that a HDMI to DVI lead will not carry audio to his tv? And if so, and he cant use digital optical for sound what are his options? I've had a look and cant see anywhere a HDMI to DVI with 2rca for sound attached.

:lease: help!!!

The DVI connector should be accompanied by a 3.5mm stereo jack or stereo RCA (phono) jacks. Find out which he has get the appropriate leads.

cheers for the quick reply -

he has the phono jacks (red and white) but there is no lead that will go from HDMI to DVI & phono that i can see.
Anyone know of such a cable??????

:smashin:

How about you use the stereo analogue leads out of the PS3. Any signal carried by HDMI is digital. Read the manual, it has lots of useful information!;)
