PS3 audio outputs

i was wondering what audio outputs the PS3 has? mainly if it has optical and if so, what can that port send out from the system? [i would like 7.1]

You'll get 5.1ch dd and dts from the ps3's optical output.

You'll get 5.1ch dd / dts / dolby true hd and dts hd ma (and 7.1ch dolby true hd and dts hd ma when it's there) from the hdmi output.
