Thanks for your help :smashin:

I traded in my 360 a while ago for £171 of credit with GAME and now the PS3 40 gig with GTA IV is £320 so im thinking £149 for a BR DVD player aint too bad a deal ;)

Is there anything you need to do with the PS3 when you get it as in settings etc ? I take it im better off with a HDMI cable than the standard component cables ?

Hi Dirty Harry. :)
No problem :smashin: as the PS3 chooses the max resolution of your screen.

I will be getting my TV back soon which is a Panny PX60, obviuosly it doesn't have 24p. How am I going to find watching Blu-Ray dvd's via my PS3?

Blu-ray playback will be @ 60Hz,so there will be some judder.

:D I thought it was just my eyes... :D

I don't find it a massive problem, but it does seem to bother some more than others.. I would get a 24P capable display next time I upgrade them, but for now I'd much rather have BR and HD-DVD without 24P than not at all... Oh and I can still pay the mortgage.. :D

Hi Bald Monkey. :)
It's not the end of the world really is it. :smashin:
Mind you ;) once you've watched it @ 1080p/24  it's damned hard to go back. :D
All the best.

To be honest I havent noticed any judder watching blu-rays played on PS3 and viewed on my Hitachi LCD - maybe I need to upgrade my glasses before I upgrade the screen :D

You only see judder during a camera pan.. it also seems even worse during a vertical pan. But you can't miss it, unless you're Mr Magoo.

I'll look out for it next time I watch a film - are any blu-ray discs worse than others for showing up this judder?
