    Hi,

Can anyone help me with connecting my PS2 to the wireless connection in my flat for online gaming.

I have a wireless connection running through my flat with my Laptop & PC connected to the internet with it, no problem.

I have just bought a network adaptor & Netgear WGE111 Wireless Game adaptor

    http://www.netgear.com/products/details/WGE111.php

No matter what i try i cant get my PS2 connected to the internet so that i can play games online.

Has anybody setup their PS2 like this and could give me a bit of advice because it is really doing my head in!!!:suicide:

    Many thanks

I use a linksys wireless gaming adapter, which I had a hell of a time getting set up. This turned out to be something specific to the device though - it hates WEP, it hates a hidden SSID, basically it hates security, despite claiming to be compatible. All I'm left with is MAC filtering (which is fine for my needs)

I have tried connecting the PS2 directly to the laptop, and i allowed internet sharing but nothing happened.

When i run the setup disc in the PS2 the book just says go to Auto setup and it should work, but does it F***

You misunderstood me...I meant connect your (working) laptop to the game adapter and see if you can connect through it to your wireless network.
At least with a laptop connected you may be able to see why it's not working.

It would also be worth connecting your PS2 directly to your router to rule out a problem with that.
