I'm currently trying to run a PS2 through the Video scart on the back of my NTl box then out into composite plugs on my plasma. For some bizarre reason I get perfect picutre but sound disappears.

Any idea's ? Save my aching back, I can't keep changing plugs!

Just for the record, I don't understand the question. Maybe nobody else does, either.

What is a "PS2"? Is it some sort of video signal or a 6 millimetre drill? Judging by the typos ("picutre" and "idea's") you may have bashed out your message a bit too quickly without checking that it actually made sense. :nono:

If nobody comes up with a reply by tomorrow, you might like to rephrase it, with a little more detail.

    :)

Oh, BTW, AFAIK, Scart composite video does not include an audio signal. The L + R audio signals are separate. Maybe that's a consideration.

I assume you mean Playstation 2?

I think Fernsehman hit the nail on the head, composite doesn't transfer audio, you will need to connect the PS2 or NTL box to the TV or AMP using phono leads (normaly red and white connectors)

Sorry for confusion, thought PS2 was obviously Playstation 2. Still a bit confused that you say the composite doesn't have sound. The little scart adapter which came with the machine has 3 leads in -video, left + right.
If the sound doesn't make it through the scart plug on the other side into the NTL box whats the point?

the video connection is called composite, the left and right will be for audio....maybe you should explain a little more how things are setup...

Composite is the worst possible video connection and I would advise looking at better ways of connecting anything to a plasma rather than use composite.

Don't apologise, it's pretty obvious what you meant.

A PS2, c'mon guys you know what he meant
