    hi guys

i have a new small ps2 i am using a ixos componant cable
via my pionner ax5-is this is conected to my panasonic dw7 42"

my problems is around 50 % off the time i have no red so the picture goes
all funny the red looks green and everything is washed out

i bought the ps2 from tescos around 3 weeks ago and today i just got a
refund and bought another ps2 this time from argos

but i have the same problem my amp and dvds and freeview are all fine
all use componant exept dvd which uses hdmi

i have gt3 and fifa 2005 and gt4 all suffer with the same problem

any help would be great as i love gt4 and it looks terrable without the red

its just a joy every now and then when the red works

but it works 50 % off the time when i start playing its fine then 10 mins in the red goes then around 20 mins later its back and its alway when i finish the course and go back to the menu screen

and the cable is never touched or fiddled with

but you could be right with the cable but seems odd how it works sometimes

    thanks

If it is a dodgy contact, it may make and loose contact with temperature variations.

sounds like a dodgy lead. try moving the conetion about and see if it makes any difference to the picture,if it does then it is the lead/contact on the lead/ if not then it could be the playstaion 2 itself. in which case take it back if it is only a few weeks old.
