Whats with all the Xbox online stuff ? :) Has nobody else in the UK got online with a PS2 yet ? I'm using a Linksys USBTX100 adapter which works great. I'll get the offical adapter when it comes out as its tidier and not sure how long Sony will support 3rd party usb ethernet adapters.

I was going to try to be a tester for ps2 online. but the game they have looks ****, so i'll wait till PES comes online for ps2 before i go online with that. it's not going to be hard to wait though as xbox live is much better than ps2 online will ever be  cue the ps2 fanboys:devil:

What game? If its SOCOM: Navy Seals then you are mistaken big time.

I'm online, I have both the Linksys adaptor and the PS-2 broadband adaptor. SOCOM:Navy Seals should be your first game. Its outstanding and is far better, imo than the games on Xbox Live, although the Xbox Live "system" with friends etc is a lot nicer.

    Regards,
    Neil.

Moto GP is great if you like that type of game I agree, and 2 looks awesome. [I suck at Moto GP though :D] Ghost Recon is no match for SOCOM especially online. Ghost Recon lags badly because of the bandwidth requirements, whereas SOCOM uses a central server which means you can have 16 players lag free playing, Its also much simpler to get into.

    Regards,
    Neil.

    Yes:

    Here is a pic:

Here is a pic of the PS-2 broadband adaptor:

More pics and a couple of short mpeg movies at

    http://www.domino.org/socom/

SOCOM is awesome, one of the best games on PS-2 in my view most if not all games have 16 players, there is something like 10000 players on constantly.

    Regards,
    Neil

Well glad I got some chat going :) Soe of the games online suck like Twisted Metal but SOCOM is great fun. NBA is pretty good but I can't figure out how to have 2 player on one side v somebody else. ATV Quad 2 is nice but only played that iLink as the first game to only support the offical Sony network adapter and didn't likn my Linksys :( And while its not officallly a online game you can play TimeSplitters2 on the net, I found so info on how to do it :)

Pro Evo online is / when it happens is going to awesome. Also we need a driving game other than Auto Modelista. WRC Online is coming out for the launch of the network adapter in the UK which is great news.

I wouldn't worry about it, its cr@p. You get it from a voucher when you buy the network adapter which you mail in to Sony.
