PS2 online! Bought Network Adaptor, now confused?

Hi all!
I just purchased me a bit of a bargain, Twisted Metal Black package with Network Adaptor for £27.00 from Dixons.
Trouble is I'm now really confused about just what else I need to get this baby up & running. I don't really want to link my PS2 to my PC as they are in separate rooms and I hate cables trailing around the place :)zonked: have enought of those already).
Can anyone tell me exactly what I need to buy to make a direct connection to my phone line? It sounds as though I need a modem of some kind but which one? roughly what cost? and where would you suggest to buy one?
I'm hoping that the modem will be the only extra I will need but I'll wait and see what you lot think:rolleyes:
By the way, yes I have a broadband subscription already and phone filters.

Appreciate any replys and opinions:smashin:

Really you need broadband. As you do you need a router and either a modem with ethernet (RJ45) connections or a router with an internal modem and an adapter for PS2 for wireless http://www.dabs.com/uk/shopbybrand/linksys/ProductView.htm?quicklinx=2SFB and a modem router unit like this http://www.dabs.com/uk/productView.html?quicklinx=2Z9M&familyid=950 or for cable connection: http://www.dabs.com/uk/shopbybrand/linksys/ProductView.htm?quicklinx=15KM and suitable modem:
Netgear aslo do a wired router modem allin one unit used by many forum members but i prefer Linksys gear

If you don't want to go wireless across the house I have an ethernet adsl modem over in the classifieds (£25) ... as long as the pc and the ps2 aren't on at the same time you can have separate adsl modems on the same phone line AFAIK ....

Tetlee best reply on John Classifieds thread as you are breaching rules trading outside of classifieds, best edit post above and reply in classifieds forum.
