The Sony one at the mo.
I haven't seen any other ones yet bar a 16MB one that still requires a 8MB original Sony one ??? What's the point?

This is were Sony have us by the balls. Why the card isn't bundled with the console is beyond me. What good is the console without the facility to save your games?

And at £25-£28 it ain't cheap for what it is.
If you start saving replays and all your save games the 8MB soon runs out. Anyone out there with two ???

The sony one is the best but most expensive.

The others tend to be compressed memory versions that give twice the space, but reports say they can suffer from some compatability issues with a couple of games.

I have just bought a ps2 and ordered the 16mb memory card, can you elaborate on why you still need the 8MB card - is as mentioned compatibility problems or another reason?

The official Sony 8MB card uses uncompressed memory.

Most other cards use compressed memory, that's why they are cheaper. Most games were designed for uncompressed memory, some games don't like compressed memory cards due to the type of data they store which doesn't compress well.

Yes is it the mega memory card from play.com (£18)

what is all this about having to load a cd before using the card?

I have burnout, crash, time crisis 2, gt3 and wwf smackdown does it work alright with these games.

I am thinking of getting GTA 3, Crazy Taxi or Dead Or Alive 2 and would welcome peoples opionions on these games and if compatible with mem card.

Does anyone know when soul calibur 2 is out and will it be better than virtua fighter 4 (not really a tekken fan!)
