After about 1 hour of watching a film, my ps2 starts to get a bit of lip sync, this does get quite bad if left running, however if I just press STOP and then PLAY again it runs perfect untill the end of the film. Does anyone else get this on there PS2 ????

I've heard about this quite a lot..apparently the new drivers which come with the official Sony remote (now in shops) cures this..but I cant swear to it as I dont use PS2 for DVDs..

I bought the Official DVD controller on Tuesday with the new drivers & haven't had any problems with the lip sync since. As well as eliminating this problem, you also get new functions such as forward & rewind slow-mo, three different speed searches (without having to hold down the button), Repeat A-B, time function, along with one touch access to menus.

    Yeah,
but the official remote DOES stop you from playing RCE discs.

That may be true, however if you buy the DVD Region X, not only do you get no green screen when watching DVD in RGB, but you can also watch RCE disks as well, whether you have the new drivers from the DVD remote or not.
