is it possible to get a faulty disc?
ive got a game that will load and when it asks you to press start at the first screen it just hangs and wont run any further.
ive checked the disc, and theres no scratches on it etc. and the ps2 is still going strong with other games.
im just wondering if anyone else has had these problems before and what they did? i bought it 2nd hand so i cant take it back either and its an original copy of primal if that helps

try playing it on another ps2 first, if you dont have a friend with one, ask game or hmv politely and they'll probably help you out. If it works on their PS2 you might find that your laser has dropped slightly, and cannot read the disc properly. This is a known fault in some PS2's. Turning the ps2 upside down sometimes aleviates the problem, but in the long run a repair would be needed.

ill try it on another ps2, and this is only 1 game out of my collection that wont run right.
all the rest are fine, i cant see it being up for a repair, not for just one game anyways.
