have you tried turning the PS2 upside down? It used to work on the old PS1 if the laser got a bit too old...

I have a similar issue. My PS2 is 4 years old and needs a new laser. I have found replacement ones on ebay for about 30 quid and they send you instructions on how to fit them.

I dont know whether to just buy a new PS2 or have this one repaired. The only thing is my current PS2 has the Messiah mod so if i buy one of the new ones ill loose the modchip. Saying that i could get it moved over.

    Decisons Decions..
