what brand of component cable should I buy for my UK PS2?

I dont need one to be that long but I would like a good quality one!

When I was looking for mine I did a search on here and came up with the conclusion that you can't beat the Genuine Sony Component cable for around £17 from the online sony playstation shop

I paid £7 for a non sony one and it works perfect. Can't imagine any difference in picture quality between the two cables at all.

I bought mine in Game for £9.99, the difference over scart is tremendous.

i bought the ixos branded component cable.

Mines was a dud, so I can't recommend it.

For around the same price, you could get the official Sony cable via the online store; I've never owned one of these but their official S-Video & Scart cables are of a high build quality.

Yeah but the official sony one is crap compared to the Ixos. I dont know if this is the case on plasmas but on CRT's the Ixos cant be beat.

having said that, I know people who are happy with £9 cables, me I wasnt happy with it at all. Ghosting and lack of definition, switched to Ixos and it was Krispie Kreme

stay away from the sony one I bought on for my plasma and it crap. Got the ixos one and was blown away, far superior!!

I own the ixos Xbox component cable; video quality is impressive, but then I don't have another xbox component cable to compare it with.

As for the PS2 ixos cable, well I can't recommend it if the one i got was a dud, everyone else seems to be impressed with it though
