Hi all, with Gran Turismo 4 using 1080i, would I be right in thinking to enable 1080i via component, you would need something like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11319&item=8171728602&rd=1

and then select the Component output in the PS2 options?

Im just concerned that there maybe a situation like the Xbox where you need to soft-mod the console to get it outputting in the Hi Def format.

Cheers to anyone for any clarification!!

    Thanks

    Dan

AFAIK you will just need to buy a component cable to get 1080i out of GT4, plus you will need a display that will handle that resoloution as well.

Having read info from various places such as this I am led to believe because of our PAL 50hz as opposed to NTSC 60hz there could be a prob with the 1080i mode.

You will have to trawl through the tons of info but im sure I read it somewhere, then again could be rubbish
