    Hi all.

(I just posted this thread under 'General Hardware' by mistake, so I am re-threading it here!)

Can anyone explain to me the difference between:

    DVD Region X

    &

    DVD Advantage

They are both for sale for the same price and yet (as far as I can tell) the Advantage includes Region X plus a lead and a remote. This seems strange to me - why would anyone buy the former, when you can get the latter for the same price? Is this right?

Just wanted to check before I ordered.

    Advice appreciated,

    Lex

I bought the DVD R X before I saw the other one with cable and remote included. Can't say I could determine any difference in what the DVD Discs did. Buy the advantage package and try it out if you do not like it you can always exchange. The DVD R X basically allows you to select a region from 1-6 and also allows you to playback DVD's in RGB without the green screen. As the advantage package comes with an RGB cable it must do the same.
