Nearly every game i have on my dreamcast has a 60hz full screen option, so I'm suprised software developers don't seem to be incorporating this function into PS2 games. The only Playstation2 game i have seen with this option is Dead or Alive 2 and it doesn't work! Using a composite scart or S-video lead results in a black and white image and using an RGB scart gives a green picture, presumably because the game comes on a dvd-rom! Is it actually possible to run this game full screen?

I've no idea about this m8, but to rid yourself of the green screen on the PS2 you can get yourself a copy of RegionX.

Just boot up with RegionX disk and when region selection menu appears eject the disk, replace it with your game and then press start. It should get rid of the green screen (it does for movies, no idea about the game DoA2 though!)

Hi are you sure it's not your TV giving you problems with the 60hz mode as I have Dead or Alive 2 for my PS2 and it's works fine in 60hz mode (connected via RGB scart or S-video)

Same here - I've got DOA2 and played in 60hz mode with both RGB Scart and S-Video with no problems at all.

I think it's your telly, dude

Very odd. TV works fine with dreamcast on 60hz. ps2 is set up wih s-video now, and i just get b&w image with the game as well as with a couple of region free dvds. I assume s-vid should be able to handle an NTSC signal ok.

there is a new chip available from www.paccforce.de
it is called the 'Messiah' chip and orders are being taken now.Bassically it lets the PS2 play anything with no disc swapping and switches macrovision off and has colour correction
