Hi, there are subtle differences between the two. Of the two, the PS2 pads I reckon are better and I will explain why.

The ps2 pads have pressure sensitive buttons. the PS1 pads do not.
The PS2 pad is slightly lighter, has firmer analogue sticks and the Digital pad is softer on the fingers too. This all equates to a better gamimg experience.

anyone else can feel free to include anything I forgot.

P.S. one last thing, there are a very few PS2 games that will not work with the PS1 pads. (MTV music generator comes to mind ). However, as extra pads for multiplayer games they should be fine. Just how cheap are they?

    regards FRANC

hi, yeah. Go for it. If you don't like them you can always sell them and get your money back. Always a good idea to keep a back-up!
