proud owner of a ROKU soundbridge M1000

    :clap: i am the new proud ownr of a ROKU M1000, i managed to have one delivered to a freind of mine in America , a refurb unit and it only cost me £100!!it is amazingly easy to set up and i have it hooked up to a LINN system and TDL speakers and the sound quality is amazing!! i am smiling like a cheshire cat and if you have pondered on getting one, dont any more! get it!!

    youre gonna have to help me there? what do you mean by music server? i'm just using ITunes , is that what you mean?

    LOL - yep iTunes acts as a music server (unlike Windows media player etc) so you will be ok. There is a lot of choice out there and was just going to offer some assistance in you needed it.

    Enjoy your toy and start saving for the next one :D

    after posting a thread already saying how happy i was with and how easy to set up i obviously spoke too soon!!

    when i turn on the unit from standby for some reason it doesnt connect to th musice server, it says music server connection failed!

    but when i do a system reset, it then connects fine no problems, unitl i turn it off again

    Ive posted to you other thread so take a look at that.

    I use mt-daapd (an itunes server) on an nslu2 and a laptop running Itunes (for peak periods) but currently looking to migrate to an UpnP server such as twonkyvison. That is if i can work out how to shift my music colection riped in Wav across without having to manually reenter artist name /album info etc.... :mad:
