Does anyone know of any retailers selling projectors in Rep. of Ireland. I'm hoping to get one in the next 6 months-1 year but have never come across any shop selling them. I've gotten my hopes up a few times only to be told that the projector was only for demo purposes and not for sale and that no...they didn't know of anywhere that sold them.

Failing that, have any Irish Forum members bought over the net and if so do we (Irish) have to pay import tax etc bumping up the price massively? No doubt we have to pay a Car VRT level tax

I am from Belfast, so dont suffer all the problems which you mention, though I still am having decided problems getting hold of someone who stocks the models I want. I dont know the shops south of the border, all I can say is that around Dublin, there is Cloney Audio (www.cloneyaudio.com), but I think it may only be hifi. There is also Hifi Corner ( claimeing to behome entertainment specialists), no web address but info@hificorner.ie is the e mail. I can tell you for sure that in Northern Irelans, there arena number of shops which do projectors. lyric hifi and The flicks (www.theflicks.co.uk) are in the general belfast area, while there is kronoshi-fi (www.kronoshi-fi.co.uk) in Dungannon.

    Hope this is of assistance

    Hi,
I bought my Seleco from a chap in the UK, it was only a few weeks old at the time and the warranty was honoured by the store that sold it to him.

I have had a hell of a time trying to get a screen and an impossible time trying to get the projector and screen setup. Multiple no-shows meant that it took about 6 months for the screen to be installed and I had to setup the projector myself [ I'd still like to see how much improvement a professional installer would make to my efforts ].

Looks like you found someone in bandit country ;) to help.

I might not know very much, ;)but one thing I do know.......the PLV60 is here! I'am just putting it through its paces at the moment, very nice machine, and pretty quiet aswell.
Anyway I have it lined up against some fancy competition for the demo I'am running.
    Let the fun begin!
