    Welcome to the forums rob

    Now about your question ;)

    Room size ?
    Room light control ?
    Budget for screen ?
What av gear do you already have ?

In general you need to add more to your question its like me asking you what car to get !!

    2 seater 5 seater 7 seater , petrol , electric , red , blue , black , green

As you can see the list is endless the more info you give the more help you will get ;)

    There's a lot to it , :)

As they all have different throws ( the size of the image from different distances )

And there are different types the main 2 being dlp
    And LCD

Also you will need a sound system as most don't have speakers and the ones that do are poor quality

Best thing for you is to go to an av shop and have a look and talk through projector options with a dealer , you might find a large 60 " tv might be a better options , a lot of my mates wanted a projector but most ended up with a large tv because of the wife and the expense of the sound system , mounts and screen even when I said I would set the whole thing up for them
