Hi,

Im running my budget Toshiba ET1 through VGA into my HTPC.

My graphics card is a Radeon 9800 Pro.

Whenenver i change to the PJ's native resolution, i just get a message saying
'unsupported signal'

Its not the graphics card because if i connect the vga to my tft it will run that resolution no problems.

The native resolution is 854x480.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Try using Powerstrip with the same resolution but create a custom screen refresh rate of 50Hz. This may be why your not getting a signal, as you are probably running the refresh rate at above 60Hz.

Thanks Stripe.

I should have said, i am running powerstrip, i had to to get that resolution. And ive also tried changing the refresh rate to 50hz.

Ive just checked the Pj manual (i suppose i should have done that already) And under the list of supported resolutions, the native res isnt there.
Is that not strange?

Very strange, but not surprising! I actually didn't realise this was a 16x9 native PJ. The best idea I have come across on the forum would then be to get a signal that works and then just it tinker with it till you are happy with the picture, trust your eyes.

Ok thanks.
Would i be better off changing the connectors.
To say, DVI -> Components then?

The native res of your PJ is 858x484 according to the website I've just been to.
