    Hi:
    I have a ps2.
Am planning to buy either panny ae500 or sanyo plvZ2
problem: when i connected up the ps2 to an ae300 (on loan), I had a 6ft widescreen image (great) with good colours, but really visible pixelation. This wasn't the case with my dvd player. The connection was via s-video lead from ps2 to proj.
Was I doing it wrong? or is the ps2 simply not up to the job of displaying clean crisp (larger than 4ft wide) images? Should I have used a different lead?

The problem is with the output resolution of the PS2 - I have used a PS2, GC and xbox with my panny AE300, some games look better than others but the PS2 games always look quite 'blocky'- you will get the same results with whichever PJ you buy.

You would get a cleaner picture through a component or RGB connection, but having a cleaner picture in turn makes the pixels more defined - thus possibly resulting in a 'blockier' looking image than through s-video.
