Projector or lcd panel

I am having a loft conversion done and want to make it in to a media room. I don't have alot of space. The room will be 2.1 m high. The distance from sitting on the sofa to the wall will be about 2.4 metres. Please have a look at the sketches. I don't know if to go for a hd projector or an lcd panel. Image quality is more important than image size.

As I am going to be sat quite close I am concerned about:

1) just getting a grainy image

2) being able to watch an film comfortably.

The smallest Electric projector screen I can find is 62.5 inches.

My questions are, will I be able to get a pin sharp projector image at a range of around 2.1 m (lens to screen)?

Will a 62 inch image be comfortable to watch?

What would be the the largest lcd screen I could get and not get grainy image when sat around 2.4 m away from the screen.

Hope that makes sense and any advice gratefully appreciated.
