I have a NEC LT240 which is 3 years old and has about 400 Hours on the lamp. I have noticed that there is a problem when playing back dark scenes of a dvd. There appears to be greens and reds in the darker areas, almost as if the alignment is incorrect but I do not think this can be the case with a DLP projector. The have tried calibrating the projector with DVE and notice that even the black/while shading strips have colour tints at either end.
What I want to know is, is this just the lamp getting old and needing replacement or is there a fault with the projector. I obviously do not want to replace the lamp only to find the problem is still there.
I have eliminated problems with leads DVD players etc by replacement.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
