Wheres the best place (cheapest) to buy a ceiling mount for my Sanyo PLV 30 PJ ? I need a 30 cm tube or their abouts. Its only for home use so security is not an issue.

They no longer deal with the general public :( which means going to one of their dealers, so your having to pay a middleman, which means all the mounts are at a similar price. Its a bit daft that they are advertising on what is ostensibly a public forum.

I was quoted the same price last week from the "middle man" as I was from LMP late last year, so there has been no price leap.

If you're OK with a little DIY, the MK2 speaker bracket here, combined with some 6mm MDF should do the trick:

    http://uk.geocities.com/g.lightfoot@btinternet.com/ht1000.html

It will allow the pj to rotate, and tip left and right. If you want it to tip forward/back, then you can either shim the bracket at the ceiling, or add-in the small tube from the other bracket (there are two in the box). You will need another bolt for the tube mod:

    http://www.avforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1076544&postcount=56

It extends from 10 to 14ins IRC, but more details are in the thread above that I've linked to.

    Gary.

Thanks for the help, I'm sorted now, just the drilling, sawing and screwing (ooh matron) and I will have finally completed my HC installation. Proper dedicated HC room, finally  :smashin:
