I am building my sitting room/cinema room. I was initially just going to mount the projector on the ceiling but now looking at it (and the ceiling is all out so easier to do) i am thinking to mount it in ceiling in a drop down box. as often the issue is cost of the drop down boxes. has anyone made their own and if so how roughly did you do it please? I have a joist depth of 190mm so i hope to get it flush or near to just so it doesn't look like a carbuncle on an otherwise flat (apart from speakers and lights) ceiling.
