    Limited choice
I'm finding it almost impossible to find suppliers of projectors in Ireland. The only real options I have here are as follows:

    Panasonic AE100 : €1600
    Sony VPL-HS1 : €2900
    Sony VPL-HS2 : €2300
    Epson EMP-TS10 : €2489
    Sharp PG-C20XE : €2760.00
    Sharp XV-Z90E : €2818.00

    So Which would you pick?

    Thanks for the help

Don't waste your time trying to get a competitive deal ,or even expert advice on projectors in Ireland. My advice would be to go to the UK and see all the top choices in action before you part with any money.
    Regards. Roger

Prices of projectors in Ireland are an absolute robbery. I was quoted IR£4,500 for the tosh MT3 in Ireland, I got it from England for about IR£3,200. I got the HS10 for €2,720 where as I have been told that it will cost €4,400 when released here.

    Now, THAT'S A DISCRACE!:lesson:

Plus there is nowhere that I could find to get a decent demo of a projector. If you are lucky enough to find a projector to demo, the conditions are always apalling: too much light, poor source etc.

If you want to see a HS10 in action you are welcom to jump on a train and travel down to Thurles and have a look at mine

EDIT: just noticed that u are in Carlow which is only an hour and a quarter from Thurles by car. I teach in Castlecomer which is only 20 mins from Carlow.

    Comer,

Decent offer, thanks for details of thru' the wall on other thread, looks v. neat. I'm still trying to decide on final layout - still think that throw distance of AE100 is too short, and I'm having terminal indecision on room layout. If Kramer posts again about HS10 having a long throw, I'll throw up !!

    Irish1,

Glad to see you're happy - tell us more about your set-up - what DVD player, screen, screen size.......

    All the best,

    Sean G.

    Conor,

Hmmmmmmm, Ok, we'll grant you that the long throw is really good...................

I'd want to be - that way you can keep it at a distance in the hope that you won't hear so much NOIZZZSZSSSZZSZSSZZSSZZE !:rotfl: :suicide: :smashin:

    HA !

Seriously though, HCPC building this weekend, upgrading a pressie form Vex (Nice  ) - just waiting for DHL to do their bit - Komplett order stuck in East Midlands, delivery promised tomorrow. Looking forward to true pixel perfect image compliments of Radeon 9000 - even have an unwatched Superbit for the occasion !!

    Sean.
