I've been reading through all the threads in the forum and i'm still slightly confused about screens.
I am about to purchase a Toshiba MT1 projector and the shop are attempting to sell me a 16:9 screen. It looked good on the demo, but there seemed to be some wasted screen at the side.
Does anyone have any recommendations for what the best screen to go for is ? I am looking to spend between £150 and £300.

I bought an owl electric screen for my MT1. Its not 16:9 as the projector doesnt project that shape. It handles widescreen films fine, but still projects the top and bottom around the picture.
If you use a 16:9 screen you will either have to project a smaller image to fit, or have light spillage onto the surrounding wall or whatever surrounds your screen. If its something like black light absorbent material then it probably will look fine. Otherwise not.
You might be better of with a 4:3 screen.
Mine is a 7' screen and was £600.00.
I spent extra for electric as with some manual pull downs, after a while they show waves in the material.
Hope this helps.
You can see my screen in the link below......

Thanks for that.....I'm definatly thinking about a 4:3 screen now....sounds like it will be best all round (I don't think the wife would be too happy at having material round the screen.....it's taken long enough to convince her about the projector !!!)
On a seperate note....where did you get your ceiling bracket from and how much was it ?? I have been quoted £400 which i think is a bit OTT !
