Great deal but how much duty would I need to pay on £18.99 ? Is it + 17.5%?

I'm in the same boat JUS as any links I've found don't seem to do anything!

However I did find this link below which entitles you to a £1.00 voucher off CDs, DVDs and games and it is valid until the 30 May

    http://www6.cd-wow.com/promotion.php?promo_refcode=12020_1&affid=12020

The only problem is that when I received the voucher and clicked on the link the £1.00 wasn't deducted leaving PGR2 at £18.99

However I've emailed cdwow to see how this can be resolved but I always thought the e-vouchers were a code which you put in at the end

Incase you didint notice that voucher expired 30th May 2003, that is almost a year ago so it is useless now. Also, just do a search on google for the £1.50 discount link and it should come up with it.

It only takes it down to £18.49 for some reason which is still over the limit.

I have just tried it as well and I get the same price, guess it only gives 50p discount on games.

Sorry Indy I didn't notice the 2003 date

However they still send you a voucher off but as it didn't work on the games I emailed them and so they sent me a code to use at the checkout.

So using this and the link that Evilash previously mentioned I managed to get PGR2 for £17.49!

The only problem is that cdwow state that £18.99 will be shown for customs so I'll have to hope I don't get clobbered...

Just an update on my purchase of PGR2.

CDWOw must have put the full price (£18.99) on the customs sticker as when I got home yesterday I had a card from the Post Office asking me to collect the package and hand over £7.50 (or thereabouts)

I'm a bit annoyed about this especially as I only paid £17.49 for the game and thats 51p under the customs limit!

Still I suppose I have got PGR2 for about £25 which isn't too shabby!

Did you use any Discount vouchers mate as they might take money off the price you pay but they dont effect the price stated on the package, the only method that reduces the price stated on the package is the discount link.

Unfortunately I did use a voucher!

The cost of PGR2 through the link was £18.49 and I had a £1.00 voucher to use as well. It's just annoying that the total cost is under the duty limit but have still got clobbered.

I know it is annoying but CDWow do warn before you purchase if an item will be over the Customs limit and its been mentioned a few times in the DVD forums that discount vouchers dont effect the stated price so unless the discount link brings the item under £17.99 you should get it elsewhere unless you are happy to pay the charges.

I was aware of those points Indiana and to be honest my moaning is directed at the customs rather than CDWow as I've used them for numerous items and have never had any cause for complaint

And to be fair I've still got PGR2 for a good price!
