I'm outputting progressive scan via component on Pioneer 575. Pics looks fine on the PJTX100. There's a progressive setting on the PJ which can either be FILM, TV or OFF. I've tried all and they don't seem to make any difference. Just wondering what setting it should be. Please don't flame me with "if it looks fine then why are you asking?" ;)

I'm guessing here, not knowing the pj you have, but you'll want OFF for a progressive input I would think, the other two are methods of de-interlacing which of course won't apply to a 'p' signal.

To see the effect switch to an interlaced signal from the Pio then alternate bewtween the two settings.

Sorry, left my flame-thrower at home.

I have same pj, interlaced output from the player, and the setting doesn't have any effect either.

    Thanks for the replies.
Probably the only gripe I have with the TX100 is that the manual, though very extensive, tells you what the features are but gives little indicaton of what they are supposed to *do*. ;)
My guess, similar to yours, is that because the progressive stuff has already been done in the player it needs to be set to OFF.
Before I bought the TX100 I read an extremely extensive review on the web which went into detail about the all the settings, had screen shots of the menus etc. From memory the guy set progressive to FILM. Unfortunately I now can't find the link, anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks...PJ

I ve been well impressed with the tx100 qucik question, it is rated at 1200 ansi which sounds bright enough for fairly well lit conditions. My question is can i have 2 settings saved that would allow me to switch between settings for a completly dark room and another for a fairly well lit room, which i could switch on the remote?

Well you're in for a fantastic late xmas present. As previously stated, the TX100 has 4 memories.
Santa just brought me the Star Wars 4-6 DVD box, can't wait to watch some of that tonight when the kids have finished wrecking their new toys. (took 5 mins for the first of many to get broken / bits lost) :D...PJ
