    Newb question.

If I get a progressive scan DVD player do I need any additional hardware (new TV or whatever) to take full advantage of its features?

    Cheers

You need a TV that accepts a PS signal. This is usually a Plasma or LCD. Projectors normally can take a PS signal as well.

If the display device has a deinterlacer. It can convert a standard interlaced signal to PS for you (from a non PS DVD player).

It also needs component, VGA, HDMI or DVI connections.
