Forgive my lack of knowledge on this, I am about to take the plunge with a Panasonic 37PE30 which does Progressive Scan. My current DVD player is about 4 years old-the Sony 735D which has component out.

Will I get Progressive with this combination or do I need a DVD player which does Progressive?

If not will I still get a better picture connecting via Component that RGB Scart?

    Cheers

    1. You need a DVD player that does progressive to get a progressive signal

    2. Component is better than RGB scart.

    Darren,

All non-ALiS plasmas de-interlace incoming interlaced signals in order to display them. Hope this helps.
