'Progressive Scan' TV and DVD set-up

I'm considering buying a 'Progressive Scan' TV: AV28X4S http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetails/index.asp?modelcode=JVC-AV28X4S&clear=

and DVD: JVCXV-N412 http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetails/index.asp?modelcode=JVC-XVN412&clear=

(both by JVC). However, I'm concerned that the TV is described as 'NTSC Progressive' and the DVD player is described as 'PAL progressive playback'. Not only that but there's no mention of component input. Am I right in thinking that I should be looking for a PAL progressive scan TV - ie would these be compatible?

Or would I be better considering coupling the DVD player with a HDTV such as JVC HV28P37SJEC which has component input?

Any input (pardon the pun) appreciated.

I'd be a bit suspicious.

without checking the details, the DVd player almost certainly will output PAL PS via component but not via SCART, so you'll need a set with component in if you want PAL PS.

You really need to check with JVC e.g. some Kiss DVD players DO output progressive signals via the Scart.
